Job Description

We’re hiring on behalf of a reputable, family-owned Mechanical Contractor based in Brookfield, CT. This growing company serves local commercial clients and is known for its high-quality work and strong, family-oriented culture.

As an HVAC Service Technician, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and repairing HVAC systems with a focus on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and occasional installations. You’ll be expected to perform these tasks in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. Below you will find more information about the job duties and requirements.

• Up to $45/hour plus overtime, depending on experience. If your target pay is higher, we still encourage you to apply—we can request adjustments based on experience and market conditions.

What you’ll do

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on commercial split and package units
• Work primarily at school sites, manufacturing facilities, and R & D Facilities
• Assist with installations and equipment startups
• Diagnose and service a variety of systems, including Trane, Carrier, AAON, and Daikin units
• Inspect, clean, and repair/replace belts, pulleys, and motors
• Troubleshoot VFDs and basic control systems

Requirements

• 4+ years of commercial HVAC experience
• Hold a valid S2 or D2 license
• EPA Certification required
• Skilled in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various HVAC systems
• Strong knowledge of controls, VFDs, and sheet metal applications
• Excellent communication and diagnostic abilities
