Additional Information About the RoleAnswer Line OverviewThe Answer Line After Hours Service provides after-hours exchange and nurse triage services for over 400 subscribing community pediatricians in the St. Louis and surrounding areas. Answer Line RNs utilize triage guidelines, critical thinking skills, and physician preferences to determine the most appropriate plan of care for each patient. These services are provided Monday-Friday from 4:30pm - 8:00am and 24/7 on weekends. LocationAlmost all staff work remote, though we do have office space at BJC @ The Commons, 5th floorStaff are expected to work their shift in the call center if experiencing connectivity issues at home Minimum 2-5 years of nursing experience in a variety of the following areas: Emergency Department, NICU, PICU, telephone triage, pediatric primary care office, or pediatric General MedicineEvery other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)Part-time; 8hr shiftsCombination of the following:Days: 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, 10am-6pmOccasional afternoon Saturday shifts: 12pm-8pm or 1pm-9pmHoliday rotationSeasonal on-call requirement BJC Nursing Career LadderThe BJC Registered Nurse Career Ladder differentiates BJC as the place for nurses to work in the greater St. Louis area. ResponsibilitiesPromotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
